The 5 Best Spas in Toronto That Melted My Stress Away

spas-in-toronto
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

Life can get pretty overwhelming when we try to do too many things at once. I found myself drowning in stress and knew it was time for some self-care.

I booked myself a spa day, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. The gentle massages, the soothing scents of essential oils, and the overall tranquil vibe—it all helped to melt away my stress and left me feeling refreshed and energized.

With such an amazing experience, I couldn’t help but look into the many local spas and pick the best. I hope this list can help you enjoy a great spa session too!

How much do spas charge for their services in Toronto?

Toronto’s three most popular spa treatments, facials, massages, and body treatments, cost $130, $100, and $145, respectively.

Take note that your price can vary significantly depending on the type of treatment and the spa you choose.

How We Chose

Services offered – We chose spas that offer a wide range of treatments, including massages, facials, body treatments, and pedicures.
Amenities – We also prefer those that have relaxing amenities to elevate spa experiences, like saunas, pools, and fitness centres.
Accessibility – We checked whether these spas are near major roads and public transit stations. We also evaluated whether they’re open on most days of the week.
Professionalism – We looked at whether their staff always treat their clients kindly and respectfully. We also considered whether they respond to enquiries quickly.
Price fairness – We assessed whether their prices are fair considering their staff experience, amenities offered, accessibility, and spa packages offered.

Let’s start off with the spa that’s available in Four Seasons, one of Toronto’s premier hotels. It’s actually one of the biggest spas you’ll find in the city, as it has an area spanning over 30,000 square feet!

The spa offers a wide array of services to cater to different preferences. That includes the usual ones like deep-tissue and Swedish massages, custom facials, and body treatments.

They even have nail and hair services, along with a couple of unique treatments like their LPG Endermologie. It’s a noninvasive treatment that smooths out cellulite, firms the skin, and improves blood circulation.

They also offer cancer care touch therapy, which uses a combination of massages and facials designed specifically for guests living with or recovering from cancer.

However, please take note that it’s quite tricky to secure an appointment here due to the high demand for their services.

Pros

  • More than 10 years of experience
  • Huge spa facility
  • Offers LPG Endermologie treatment
  • Can provide cancer care touch therapy

Cons

  • Tends to get fully booked quickly
  • Above-average prices

Such a beautiful spa

“Such a beautiful spa. I’ll definitely be back! I feel like they don’t overbook people which is nice because often I had the whole pool or sitting area to myself so it was ultimately relaxing. I also went on a weekday which could have been why. Everything from the music to the ambience was so relaxing. I did the lime and macadamia 90 minute scrub and wrap and my god was it absolute heaven. The staff are amazing. The facilities are so clean. For anyone that’s going with the opposite gender, the pool and hot tub area in these pics are shared which is nice. The steam rooms are in the changing rooms. Can’t wait to go back!!!”

Another hotel-based spa worth checking out is Miraj Hammam Spa. You’ll find it within the classy Shangri-La Hotel, and it’s quite known for its Middle Eastern aesthetic and treatments.

They offer traditional hammam and gommage treatments—imagine steam baths and exfoliation—along with more familiar options like Swedish and deep tissue massages. If you’re looking for a full day of pampering, their wellness retreat packages are definitely worth considering.

But one thing I can truly appreciate about this spa is that guests receive complimentary access to the Shangri-La Hotel’s health club facilities. This includes the steam room, infrared sauna, and hot tubs, adding extra value to your visit.

Sadly, a few clients have mentioned encounters with unprofessional behaviour from the staff, such as pushy sales tactics.

  • Specialises in hammam and gommage treatments
  • Offers wellness retreat packages
  • Complimentary access to the hotel’s health club facilities

Cons

  • Some staff tend to hard-sell treatments

I can’t wait for my next visit

“I absolutely love this spa ✨

You will truly be impressed by the quality of service, the massage was excellent along with the pool & sauna area!

I highly recommend this beautiful spa in the downtown area.

Thank you to the management and staff for making me feel welcome. I can’t wait for my next visit.”

A truly high end spa experience

“A truly high end spa experience. The details of the spa take you to Morocco and does not at all feel like you’re in the middle of downtown Toronto.

Staff is really pleasant and welcoming. I would suggest getting a 90 minute massage instead of a 60 minute one as you get free access to the health club which is amazing with a steam, sauna, gym, pool & jacuzzi which you have access to all day so you can spend the entire day at the Shangri-La relaxing.

Highly recommend!”

They offer a wide range of services that include massages, facials, and specialized body treatments. One of their standout treatments is the Rainfall Rejuvenation, a hydrotherapy session designed to simulate the calming effects of natural rainfall.

Thankfully, it won’t be a pain in the wallet to enjoy most of their services, as they offer many spa packages.

My therapist/nurse Tiba, was exceptional—her professionalism, skill, and attention to detail made the entire session incredibly rejuvenating. Highly recommend this place, especially if you’re lucky enough to book with Tiba!”

Body Blitz Spa, with its two locations in Toronto, has been my favourite relaxation spot for quite some time. The women-only spa has been around since 2005, making it one of the oldest spas you can try in the city.

What keeps me coming back is the Therapeutic Waters Circuit. This series of pools and saunas, infused with ingredients like eucalyptus and Epsom salt, is truly stress-relieving.

Apart from the waters, they offer fantastic services like massages, facials, and body scrubs.

Another highlight for me is their juice bar. The menu is packed with healthy and delicious options, from antioxidant-loaded juices to protein shakes, that are perfect for refuelling after a lengthy spa session.

However, their operating hours can be a bit confusing. I still often find myself checking their website to make sure I can book my preferred time.

Pros

  • 20 years of experience

  • Has a healthy juice bar

Cons

  • Women-only spa

Had a wonderful and relaxing afternoon here

“Had a wonderful and relaxing afternoon here. Pools were all beautifully maintained and had good temperatures. All the equipment was in great shape. Staff were so pleasant and helpful, especially since it was my first visit. I had a body scrub as well which was fantastic!

I will be back!”

I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

“I couldn’t recommend this place enough! The staff were so friendly, the therapeutic waters circuit was like nothing I’ve ever experienced (in the best way), and the therapeutic massage was AMAZING. My masseuse even told me how many knots she was able to get out (18)! If you’re looking for a relaxing spa day to de-stress in more ways than one, look no further.”

As the name suggests, Bahn Thai Spa is all about delivering authentic Thai traditions blended seamlessly with a modern spa experience. Established in 2014, this spa has built a reputation for its traditional Thai massage, which combines stretching and acupressure techniques to relieve tension and enhance flexibility.

They also provide a unique technique called Lanna Back Walking. It’s a technique where therapists use their feet to apply pressure on the back and other areas. This method helps in releasing deep-seated tension and improving circulation.

It’s easy to enjoy their various treatments, thanks to their comprehensive massage packages. They even offer special rates for couples and groups looking to enjoy their Thai massages!

I feel completely rejuvenated, relaxed and euphoric!

“Had the privilege of being massaged by Jun and it changed my life! She was phenomenal, amazing, just enough pressure. Sauna and lemon grass before the massage were a lovely and thoughtful addition. As were the epsom salts after. I feel completely rejuvenated, relaxed and euphoric! Highly recommend the 90 minutes or more if you can!”

I’m so impressed and grateful for this experience

“This was truly a life changing massage. It was my first time trying Thai massage and I booked in with RMT Anna. She was UNREAL. So strong and so knowledgeable. She got rid of so much tension and so many knots in just an hour. I’m so impressed and grateful for this experience. I will definitely be going back again and again!!”
