Capture your audience with the best videographers in Toronto!

videographers-toronto
We extensively test and research all services we review. Here's why you can trust us.

When my best friend opened her cafe, it felt like a dream finally coming true. She’d been talking about it since high school, so seeing the space and tasting the menu she built was unreal.

I wanted to help spread the word, so I brought in a videographer to capture the vibe. We put together a quick Instagram ad, and it took off way bigger than we expected!

That’s when I realized how much good video can do. So I’ve rounded up some of the best videographers in Toronto to help others bring their own projects to life.

How much do videographers in Toronto charge for their services?

Videographers in Toronto set their rates based on experience and how complex the shoot is. A basic day rate usually comes in around $400.
More involved projects tend to cost about $800. For productions that require extensive planning, equipment, and editing, prices can reach close to $1,880.

How We Chose

Experience and portfolio – We looked for videographers who have at least three years of professional experience and boast diverse portfolios featuring event videography, promotional videos, and brand stories.
Video quality and editing style – We evaluated whether their footage is consistently sharp, well-lit, and polished. Beyond the raw shots, we paid attention to editing choices, pacing, and whether their style feels cohesive across projects.
Services and flexibility – We considered whether they offer packages that suit different needs, such as quick social media ads and full-day event coverage. We also checked whether they provide extras like drone footage and multi-camera setups.
Professionalism – We assessed how easy they are to work with, including how quickly they respond to enquiries and how clearly they explain their process.
Price fairness – We looked at whether their pricing feels fair given the quality of their work, their level of experience, and the additional services included.

Key West Video has been around Toronto since 1989 and seems to really know their stuff. They focus on corporate video production and can handle a huge range of videos, including training clips, polished promotions, and event coverage.

One thing I find impressive is their studio setup, which gives clients a controlled space with proper lighting and even a green screen. They also provide services for actors, such as workshops and demo reel productions, to help them stand out in a competitive market.

I appreciate their language support too since they offer translation, transcription, subtitles, and voice dubbing. This makes content more accessible and useful for companies working across different regions.

Unfortunately, their focus on corporate videography means they’re not the best fit for creative projects like indie films or weddings. They’re also on the pricier side, with basic projects starting around $1,500.

Pros

  • More than 35 years of experience
  • Wide range of corporate videography services
  • Has a professional studio with lighting and green screen
  • Actor workshops and demo reel support
  • Translation, transcription, subtitles, and voice dubbing available

Cons

  • Above-average prices
  • Not ideal for indie films or personal projects

Their hardworking staff are dedicated professionals with a wide range of skills

“I’ve used their film and audio crews and producers, as well as their film editing services several times. Their hardworking staff are dedicated professionals with a wide range of skills. They are always well prepared, and willing to assist time and effort into the best outcomes for your videos. Give them the opportunity to quote and have your own, positive Key West Video Inc experience.”

“Working with Key West Video was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. We urgently needed a sound engineer for an in-home, in-person interview, and Key West Video came through effortlessly. Their communication, coordination, and planning were seamless, making the entire process stress-free. Stefan, the sound engineer, was fantastic—efficient, professional, and incredibly skilled. I can’t recommend Key West Video enough! They truly exceeded our expectations.”

Origin Films has carved out a spot in Toronto’s video scene by taking care of the whole production process. I found it handy that they handle location scouting and permits, saving you from having to deal with city paperwork.

They even provide insurance coverage, which is often required before filming in public spaces.

Their videography services cover a wide range, including commercials, music videos, and weddings. They also specialize in real estate and can do property tours to make your listings stand out.

Furthermore, they run an animation studio that can deliver both 2D and 3D work, which is useful for businesses that want explainer videos or something more creative.

On the flip side, I’ve heard of delays with deadlines and inability to respond to all enquiries, so follow-ups are sometimes needed.

Pros

  • Almost 10 years of experience
  • Can do real estate videography
  • Dedicated animation studio for 2D and 3D projects
  • Handles location scouting across Toronto
  • Can manage insurance and permits for public shoots

Cons

  • Sometimes encounters project delays
  • Sometimes misses enquiries

A very professional, fun and creative group of individuals to work with

“A very professional, fun and creative group of individuals to work with. I would be more than happy to work with this energetic team anytime. Shooting / Filming happened when it was stated and all aspects of the shoot were clearly communicated prior to the project date.”

One of the more interesting videographers I’ve come across is FX Productions Canada. They only started in 2019 but already have high-profile clients like Wingstop, Lamborghini, and Manulife.

I think their flexibility plays a key role in why they’re popular. They handle the usual video shoots but also offer drone footage, which really adds that sweeping perspective you don’t get from ground shots.

Their VFX artists are another strength since they can make videos look polished without relying on costly props. On top of that, they have a stock footage library that’s handy if you want to add extra flavour to a project.

They even connect their videos to digital marketing campaigns, which helps with reach.

The only drawbacks are their size and popularity, since booking them can be tough and extremely huge projects may stretch their small team.

Pros

  • Has worked with high-profile clients like Lamborghini and Wingstop
  • Licensed drone services for sweeping aerial shots
  • Has dedicated VFX artists
  • Features an extensive stock footage library
  • Can tie video work into digital marketing campaigns

Cons

  • Small team
  • High demand makes scheduling harder for last-minute work

Incredibly easy to work with

“If you’re looking to work with a team that genuinely takes the time to understand your business, your goals, and the type of content you need to stand out, look no further. From the very beginning, they were thorough in their planning, collaborative in their approach, and incredibly easy to work with. What sets them apart is how involved they keep you throughout the process. Every step is clearly communicated, and your input is valued at each stage of production. The final product not only reflects their technical expertise but also a deep understanding of your brand and audience. Easily one of the best video production companies in Toronto, highly recommended.”

Incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the entire filming process

“We had the pleasure of working with FX Productions Canada Inc., specifically Edward and Ali, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the very beginning, their communication was quick, clear, and efficient. They were incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the entire filming process, right up to the very end. Their professionalism and attention to detail played a big role in the success of our EHC Alumni Spotlight videos at Quantum University. We also greatly appreciated receiving the raw footage in a timely manner. We highly recommend FX Productions Canada Inc. and look forward to working with them again in the future!”

If you’re looking to do shoots outside Toronto, Signature Video Group is worth checking out. They’ve been around since 2009 and have completed over 1,000 projects, so it’s fair to say they know their craft.

Their services cover a wide range that includes commercials, corporate films, and longer documentary-style projects. They also produce detailed product demos that highlight every feature of a product.

What stands out is their willingness to film outside Canada, which is handy if you want content with a different backdrop. They also offer remote testimonials, letting clients share genuine reactions without the expense of flying a crew around.

Sadly, their project fees usually start at about $15,000, which is steep for smaller businesses. Timelines average around 5 weeks, so they’re not the best option if you need something turned around quickly.

Pros

  • More than 15 years of experience
  • Wide range of content styles
  • Can do product demos
  • Remote testimonial service for global client stories
  • Willing to travel internationally for shoots

Cons

  • Expensive fees
  • Average timelines of about 5 weeks

We absolutely LOVED our experience working with SVG

“We absolutely LOVED our experience working with SVG. From start to finish they understood our brand, were passionate about our project, shared amazing concepts, every crew member was an expert in their area, filming day was fun and collaborative, everyone on set enjoyed their experience and the end results surpassed our expectations. If you are looking for passion, enthusiasm, expert experience, and amazing videos, SVG is the way to go. They have become an extension of our Mabel family and we are so happy to have had this opportunity.”

My friend and I were grateful to ZedZed Media for the work they did to boost the popularity of her new cafe. They’ve been around since 2013 and handle most types of video production, including social media ads and quick brand stories.

The reason I picked them is that they specialize in short, punchy videos with bold visuals and tight storytelling. Clips like these fit perfectly among the short-form content that dominates Instagram and TikTok.

I also like that they offer videography packages. We received three videos for $1,200, which felt fair given the quality.

After seeing how much attention the ads brought in, I convinced my friend to sign up for their $600 subscription service that provides more short-form videos to keep her Instagram buzzing.

The only downsides are their focus on short content and the fact that they mainly serve Toronto, not the wider GTA.

Pros

  • More than 10 years of experience
  • Specializes in short-form content
  • Offers videography packages
  • Has monthly content plans for steady social media presence
  • Competitive prices

Cons

  • Not a good fit for longer videos like documentaries
  • Service area doesn’t cover most parts of the GTA

The result always exceeded expectations

“We worked with Luke in a few different settings: music videos and commercial shoots and the result always exceeded expectations. I especially appreciate his work ethics: to communicate through every aspect of the project, discuss the result and contribute ideas and suggestions.”
